Drawn to Life is an annual collaboration between Central Elementary School and Summit Studios (formerly Studio 4 at KMS). The project involves connecting our youngest students in Adams 14 with junior high artists and strengthens the bridge between elementary and middle school art classes.
In 2023, Mr. Finamore and Ms. Ciccone, art teacher at Central Elementary, hatched an idea - what if kids could truly see their artwork come to life?
In 2023, Mr. Finamore and Central Elementary's art teacher, Ms. Amanda Ciccone hatched an idea to bring imagination to life. Capitalizing on the creative essence of kindergarten, Ms. Ciccone asked her students to dream up creatures they encountered on their way to school. Kindergartners drafted up their ideas as drawings and even gave each creature a name. The ideas were sent to the students in Mr. Finamore's classroom.
Students in the Advanced Art classes viewed these drawings as blueprints and became designers.
